Alex Telles stance on Porto transfer request and more Manchester United rumours

Alex Telles is not willing to force an exit from Porto in order to seal a move to Manchester United this summer - according to reports.

MEN Sport understand United have accelerated their transfer plans ahead of the October 5 deadline following their Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace. The Reds have accepted there is a need for a new left-back and Telles has been monitored. Sergio Reguilon was also under consideration prior to his move to Tottenham.

United fans have repeatedly demanded that Telles is brought to Old Trafford given his recent form and current contract situation, his current Porto deal is set to expire next summer.

Reports in Portugal suggest United and Porto remain way apart in their valuation of the defender with A Bola suggesting Telles is determined to leave the club this summer.

However, the same report suggests that Telles will not force an exit if United fail to agree a price with his club. The former Inter star wants to end his time at the club on good terms and is not entertaining the idea of submitting a transfer request.

Elsewhere, reports claim Leeds United are still pursuing a loan deal for United star Daniel James.

James joined the Reds from Swansea last summer, six months after his move to Leeds collapsed at the final hour.

The Welshman has struggled to force his way into the starting XI following the emergence of Mason Greenwood and Marcelo Bielsa is keen to sign him on loan, according to The Mirror.

Leeds have reportedly cooled their interest in Liverpool forward Harry Wilson in order to pursue a move for James.

MEN Sport understand United have no intention of allowing him to leave on loan.
