Alex Telles returned to the Manchester United training ground on Monday morning but left within 15 minutes of his arrival.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed last week Telles tested positive for coronavirus but that the Brazilian was asymptomatic. The MEN understands Telles turned up for a COVID-19 test at Carrington today at around 9.40am and left just before 10am.
The United players have to be tested before Champions League away games to determine whether they can travel abroad. United fly to Turkey on Tuesday ahead of their tie with Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday.
Telles, 27, has missed United's last three games against Chelsea, RB Leipzig and Arsenal at Old Trafford after making his debut in the 2-1 Champions League group win away at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazil international earned plaudits after his performance in Paris, where he was substituted midway through the second-half for Paul Pogba. Telles' only other squad appearance was as an unused substitute in the 4-1 win at Newcastle.
United signed Telles from Porto for £13.6million on deadline day last month but the left-back is a doubt to fly to Istanbul as he has not trained since the victory over PSG nearly two weeks ago.
Telles could make his comeback for United at Everton on Saturday and he has also been included in the Brazil squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay later this month.
Solskjaer said on Wednesday: "Telles has tested positive for coronavirus, he's been out for a few days, no symptoms, he'll be fine, back soon."
