Alex Telles returns to Manchester United training ahead of Everton fixture

Manchester United have confirmed Alex Telles has returned to training on the eve the Reds' game against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Pressure is mounting on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of the trip to Goodison Park following back-to-back defeats by Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir.

Telles was absent from the matchday squad for both games, as well as the meetings with Chelsea and RB Leipzig, after testing positive for COVID-19. The Brazilian made his United debut in the win against Paris Saint-Germain but is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League.

The former Porto man has kept supporters updated with his period of self-isolation on Instagram and was pictured wearing his United jersey while watching the game against Basaksehir.

Ahead of the game against Everton, United have confirmed the 27-year-old returned to training on Friday and was spotted in the morning session alongside his United teammates.

The left-back is in contention to feature against Carlo Ancelotti's men who are also on a two-match losing streak.

Telles has been named in Brazil's squad for their World Cup 2020 qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay.

United face West Brom at Old Trafford in their first fixture following the international break.
