Alex Telles reacts to making Premier League debut for Manchester United

Manchester United defender Alex Telles has described making his Premier League debut as an 'amazing feeling' following Saturday's 1-0 victory against West Brom.

United returned to action after the international break and, though their performance was far from convincing, won their first league game of the season at Old Trafford against the newly promoted Baggies.

Bruno Fernandes clinched the three points from the penalty spot, though it wasn't without drama as he missed his initial spot-kick but got another bite of the cherry after Sam Johnstone left his line as he made the save.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be relieved to have won back-to-back games and move ahead of Manchester City in the table, and there was the added plus of Telles' return to the side.

The left-back was a deadline day addition from Porto but had only managed to make a single appearance for the club up until Saturday, impressing in the Champions League victory against Paris Saint-Germain.

A positive coronavirus test then ruled the Brazilian out of action for two weeks as he missed matches against Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir.

He did join his country for their World Cup qualifiers during the international break after testing negative and arrived back in Manchester able to return to action, which came as perfect timing due to the injury suffered by Luke Shaw in the win over Everton.

Telles played the full 90 minutes against the Albion and was delighted after finally being able to make his long-awaited Premier League bow.

"Amazing feeling of debuting in the Premier League with a very important victory for us. Now it's full focus on the next mission!" he wrote on Instagram, accompanied with love heart, fire and muscle emojis.
