Alex Telles lasted just 15 minutes upon his return to Man Utd training ground

Alex Telles returned to Manchester United's Carrington training base on Monday morning but left only 15 minutes later.

The Brazilian has only made one appearance for the club so far since signing - that coming against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The full-back was signed from Porto on transfer deadline day for around €13.5million, and after a promising start against the Ligue 1 giants he's been missing from every squad since.

It has since emerged that Telles had tested positive for Covid-19 and was in quarantine. The defender was asymptomatic.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Telles' reason for returning to United's training base was in order to take another coronavirus test.

The 27-year-old was snapped entering the base at around 9.40am and seen again leaving just before 10am.

United travel to Turkey on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League clash against Istanbul Basaksehir and the test's outcome will determine whether Telles can take part or not.

United fans were left reasonably excited by new United signing Telles with his showing against PSG.

And his stats from previous seasons aren't bad either.

Last season, Telles racked up 13 goals and 12 assists in 49 appearances.

Upon signing for the club, he said: “I won many trophies at FC Porto and I want to continue that at United. The manager has a clear plan and direction for this team and I can’t wait to pull on the famous shirt.”
