Alex Telles has issued a warning to Manchester United ahead of their reunion with 'constant threat' Edin Dzeko.
The 35-year-old former Manchester City striker is part of the Roma squad that heads to Old Trafford for the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie tomorrow night (8pm).
By his standards, the Bosnian has endured a modern return in front of goal this Serie A season.
Indeed, he has only totalled seven in 23 appearances - but his overall record for Roma since moving to the Italian side in 2016 reads 117 goals in 254 games, while Dzeko had also contributed 52 assists in that time.
Despite his relative struggles domestically this term, the veteran has scored four goals in eight European outings, too, as Roma target a place in next month's Gdansk showpiece at the expense of United.
Telles knows first-hand what Dzeko can bring to the party - having faced Roma in the Champions League during a spell with Porto before his move to Old Trafford last summer.
He said: "I know Roma are a quality team with very good attacking players such as Edin Dzeko.
"[They have] players who create a lot up front. They're also very good defensively, an experienced team, they aren't in the semi-finals by chance, there's a lot of quality in the team. I think they are going to be two great games.
"We're going into the games well prepared and confident of doing our best."
Telles, who has struggled to command a regular place in the United line-up due to the form of Luke Shaw - though he has often featured in the Europa League - added: "He [Dzeko] is a quality finisher, he knows how to score goals.
"You're dealing with a centre-forward with real physical presence because of his stature. He's a constant danger, so we need to concentrate. I believe we have a very strong and focused back-line to deal with this.
"We know facing a team like Roma in a semi-final that we're going to be up against quality players and we have to be ready. I'm a big believer that important games are decided in the details. When we come to these moments, the team that’s most focused and prepared will win the game."
