Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been impressed by Alex Telles' attitude since suffering an injury in pre-season.
Manchester United have been hit with a number of absentees at the start of the season, with Telles, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Dean Henderson, Anthony Elanga, Eric Bailly and Amad all unavailable for the opening Premier League match of the season, as well as Raphael Varane whose signing was only finally completed on the day of the game.
Despite having depleted numbers, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side still got off to a great start as they thrashed rivals Leeds United 5-1, with Bruno Fernandes grabbing a hat-trick and Fred and Mason Greenwood also scoring.
After such a brilliant display it will be interesting to see how much better United get when they return to full strength and Solskjaer has given an update on one of his casualties in Telles.
The left-back hasn't played since the victory over Derby County in pre-season after suffering an ankle injury in training in mid-July.
However, Telles has been working hard during his rehabilitation and Solskjaer has been pleased by the way he has reacted to the setback.
“Alex has shown a tremendous attitude to the rehab,” the manager told United's in-house media.
“He is working really hard and is another one who gets a setback but you can sit down and sulk or you can go back into the gym, work hard and make sure that when you’ve come back you’ve worked on different things.”
