Alex Telles and Bruno Fernandes to start - Manchester United predicted line-up vs RB Leipzig

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows he will need to get his Manchester United team selection spot-on as they prepare to face RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

United are currently level on nine points with both Leipzig and Paris Saint-Germain in Group H and know they will qualify for the knockout stages if they avoid defeat in Germany.

Solskjaer will be desperate to witness a clear improvement from his side's first-half horror show at West Ham over the weekend, with a number of changes expected for the pivotal tie.

Dean Henderson was excellent in the win at the London Stadium, but Solskjaer needs players he trusts to perform this week, which could work in favour of David de Gea.

United might also switch to a three-man defence which could see Axel Tuanzebe or Luke Shaw return to the starting line-up in order to offer extra defensive cover.

The possible tactical switch makes Alex Telles a sure starter at wing-back, but there is a big decision to make in midfield without the suspended Fred.

Scott McTominay looks guaranteed a start, while Nemanja Matic would represent a safer selection than Paul Pogba in a partnership with Bruno Fernandes ahead of them.

The absence of Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani means a front two of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood seems the most likely.

Predicted United team at RB Leipzig: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Telles; Matic, McTominay, Fernandes; Rashford, Greenwood
