Alex Scott and Neil Jones suffer a 'wardrobe malfunction' on Strictly Come Dancing

Tess Daly came to the rescue after Alex Scott and Neil Jones suffered a 'wardrobe malfunction' on Strictly Come Dancing.

The pair accidentally got stuck together after performing a moody Argentine tango to Never Tear Us Apart by INXS, and the song title wasn't lost on viewers.

Pro dancer Neil appeared to get stuck to England football star Alex's dress as they tried to separate themselves after the dance.

"Oh you're stuck together?" exclaimed host Tess, rushing to help.

"Okay, we have a microphone malfunction or is a sequin malfunction?" she asked.

After she freed them a sympathetic Tess explained: "These things happen, it's live television."

Viewers took to Twitter to joke about the moment.

"Very fitting wardrobe malfunction given the song choice..." said one.

"Haha wardrobe malfunction," said another.

"Alex and Neil showed so much chemistry during that routine they got stuck together!" joked another.

The pair have recently brushed off talk of romance after fans wondered if their chemistry on the dance floor on the BBC contest might spill over into real life.

Neil is single after splitting from his wife Katya, who is also a Strictly dancer and was paired with Salford-based BBC sports presenter Mike Bushell this series.

Mike, who was voted off the show earlier this year, also suffered a wardrobe malfunction of his own when he became trapped under Katya's dress as he lifted her during their final dance together.
