Alex Salmond is set to appear in the new series of satirical puppet show Spitting Image as Shrek.
An image of the former First Minister and current Alba Party leader has been released by the team behind the BritBox show which returns for a second series of the new format tomorrow, Saturday, September 11.
Salmond is a new face in the show alongside former Tory chancellor and current Health Secretary Sajid Javid.
The puppet show has been rebooted after its successful outing in the 1980s.
The Spitting Image Twitter account tweeted out the images of Javid and Salmond with the caption: "1 day to go until #SpittingImage returns, along with a few new faces. @sajidjavid @AlexSalmond. Series 2 arrives tomorrow, only on @BritBox_UK."
Twitter users took to the social media site to react to the Salmond puppet.
Stuart Smith said: "Howling at Alex Salmond omg."
Elena Soper tweeted: "This is an insult to Shrek."
While Twitter user @Jamesnotmarine said: "LMFAO SALMOND"
@transmuto75 wrote: "Hahaha brilliant!"
The revived satirical show, which reflects on the weekly news cycle through the use of puppets, is returning to the BritBox subscription service.
When first broadcast in the 1980s, Spitting Image was famous for lampooning politicians including Margaret Thatcher and John Major.
Jess Robinson is a voice artist on the show, responsible for vocalising a range of celebrities and politicians, including Greta Thunberg, Adele, Kim Kardashian West, Angela Merkel, Nicola Sturgeon, Jess Phillips and Gwyneth Paltrow.
She admitted some stars were treated more harshly than others.
Robinson told PA: "I think people like Boris, Trump, they are fair game, 100%.
"But we've got people like Greta, Marcus Rashford, Tom Daley and they're more like heroes of the piece.
"They might be the voice of reason, so will we treat them in a different way."
The new series of Spitting Image is available exclusively on BritBox UK from September 11.
