Alex Rodriguez Gorrin chased by Blackburn and rivals as Motherwell face fight to keep him

Motherwell face a fight to keep Spanish ace Alex Rodriguez Gorrin with several English Championship sides keen on him.

The 25-year-old Spaniard has been a revelation for Stephen Robinson's side since December, shortly before the manager changed his team's style of play.

And Mailsport understands the likes of Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and Millwall will watch him against Aberdeen in midweek with a view to making a move.

Rodriguez Gorrin was introduced into the Motherwell side at the turn of the year along with Scottish youngsters David Turnbull and Jake Hastie - and they've been in terrific form ever since.

The former Sunderland and Boavista kid arrived in Lanarkshire last season from Romanian outfit Sepsi Sfantu Gheorghe.

This term he's made a major impact in their charge for the top six and Robinson is keen for Rodriguez Gorrin to sign a new deal.

But as it stands, he's free to discuss terms with prospective suitors and scouts from England will be at Pittodrie for Wednesday night's clash with the Dons.
