Alex Rider Amazon Prime show filming transforms a Cardiff street into London scene

Parts of Cardiff have been transformed into a London street for an upcoming Amazon Prime show.

The area around City Hall and Cardiff Crown Court has been taken over for the second season of Alex Rider.

The show revolves around the world of Alex, an ordinary teenager who is enlisted to work on behalf of MI6, where he uses skills he didn't know he had to become a spy.

The series is based on the series of spy novels by author Anthony Horowitz which spanned 10 novels.

The first series aired in 2020 and it looks like its success has prompted a second series of the TV show, Bristol Live reports.

Filming for the show has also recently taken place in Cornwall, with large lorries and crews descending on one town.

On the other side of Cardiff filming is also taking part for BBC's Casualty.
