Alex Pritchard on Sunderland 'bouncing back' ahead of 'dogfight' at Luton Town

Alex Pritchard is expecting a dogfight at Luton Town this weekend as Sunderland look to avoid three straight defeats. Nathan Jones' side were well beaten by fierce rivals Watford last time out with his squad suffering from an illness outbreak.

That outbreak is still affecting the Hatters' squad heading into the game with Sunderland this weekend but the Black Cats midfielder knows his side will be in for a tough game. The Wearsiders are yet to win back to back games since their return to the Championship.

Speaking to SAFC Unfiltered, Pritchard said: "The bounce back is massive, we've obviously lost a couple of games now and you don't want to get that momentum, you want the other side. You want to win a couple of games, we haven't even won back to back games this year.

"Everyone's saying we've started well and that we've been good but we haven't won back to back games and now we've lost back to back games. We go to Luton - which I've been there before - it'll be one of the hardest games we play in this season.

"After the back of them being beaten 4-0 at Watford, they're going to want to come out flying and their manager will. We've got to be ready for what's going to be coming, but we know our pros and cons at the moment.

"I think everyone knows that, so the boys are going to have to roll up their sleeves - I'm going to have to roll up my sleeves and it's going to be a dogfight."
