A Liverpool FC player got his teammates to sign a schoolboy's football and take pictures with the squad after seeing him 'sobbing'.
Midfielder, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain saw Burnley FC fan Josh McLean upset while he waited for autographs and photos from the players.
The 10-year-old and his dad, Nathan who are Burnley FC season ticket holders were at last Saturday's Premier League match , where Liverpool beat Burnley FC 3-0.
Dad, Nathan claims he and Josh could not get to where they usually stand to get autographs and were getting "bustled out."
He said: "After the match we were attempting to get autographs, but because Josh was getting bustled out, he was struggling.
"We couldn't get where we normally stands and it was full of adults.
"There's usually a ruling they have where the kids get to the front, but the were a lot of adults crowding.
"I don't know if they could see or hear him.
"Josh always says excuse me and is not one to barge past."
Noticing how upset his son was the 41-year-old decided to put his son on his shoulders to get the players attention.
Nathan added: "He was sobbing his heart out, I put him on my shoulders.
"He had been trying to get their attention by holding the ball up."
It was then when Liverpool's , 'The Ox' noticed the Burnley fan crying and asked him what the matter was.
Josh's dad added: "Alex asked why Josh was crying, but he was too upset to speak.
"So he took the ball and we passed him a pen and he disappeared on the coach.
"Ten minutes later he reappeared with the ball and it was fully signed by pretty much the whole squad.
"Alex brought players over and Josh managed to get a few photos too."
The train driver from Rossendale in Lancashire has praised the Liverpool player and said he is a "credit to the club."
Nathan said: "Footballers get a bad press and he didn't have to do what he did.
"You've got to give credit where credit is due.
"It's a balance in life.
"It's a great example of what a footballer should be and a credit to his club.
"Even though the lad plays for Liverpool and Josh had a Burnley shirt on he still did that"
