Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain confirms why Andy Robertson will join Lionel Messi in his house after Premier League bet

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed he will frame Andy Robertson's match-worn jersey and hang it at home alongside Lionel Messi's after losing a bet.

Chamberlain had originally wagered his team-mate that he would not break into double figures for assists in domestic competition.

Robertson, however, completed 11 last term as well as two more in the Champions League where Liverpool lifted their sixth European Cup in Madrid.

Former Arsenal midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain, taking part in a light-hearted lie detector quiz in conjunction with Joie Baby, was asked questions about his full-name, position and who the fastest player in the squad is.

When it came to Robertson, the star told hosts Layton and Cameron that he often spreads rumours about his team-mate and that 'he is not the best passer of a football.'

Cameron then challenged Oxlade about a rumoured deal with the former Hull City left-back to which he chuckled: "Who told you that? I do have a deal with him about assists!

"The deal was if he gets 10 Premier League assists [last] season I will get a framed Robertson shirt put up in my house next to Messi's.

"I'm in trouble boys, that's not something you want on your wall."

Oxlade-Chamberlain also believes he would beat centre-back and PFA Player of the Year Virgil van Dijk in a foot-race '1,000%'.
