Alex Morgan and the rest of her teammates from the United States women’s national team have had quite a few days since since winning the World Cup in France on Sunday.
Personally, I don’t know how they are still awake after all the partying they’ve done since their win and I respect the heck out of their ability to keep the good times going.
After Wednesday’s parade through New York City the team flew to Los Angeles to attend the ESPYs.
Alex Morgan, who was huge throughout the World Cup and is the star of the Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League, won the Best Female Athlete award and started her acceptance speech with a perfect joke:
Well played, Alex Morgan.
The USWNT later took home the Best Team award:
