Bookies have slashed odds on Alex McLeish being sacked as Scotland boss - and Gordon Strachan is favourite to make a sensational return.
Scotland opened their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with one of the worst results in the nation's history,
McLeish's side were thumped 3-0 by Kazakhstan following a horrendous display in the Astana Arena.
Odds on the 60-year-old being sacked before the next round of qualifiers in June have tumbled from 50/1 to just 7/4.
And, in what would be a remarkable turn of events, Strachan is 3/1 favourite to then take over from the man who replaced him.
That would make McLeish both Strachan 's successor and predecessor.
He was punted in October 2017 after Scotland's failure to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and McLeish took the reins four months later.

But the former Rangers and Birmingham boss refused to entertain the idea that his time might be up already.
He said: "I'll just continue doing my job and suffice it to say I'm not going to get drawn into that question."
When asked where the defeat ranked among those across his whole career, McLeish added: "I don't really rank defeats. I just feel in terms of losing then I have to bounce back.
"I always feel low after a (defeat) but I'm pretty good at bouncing back."
