Everyone has a reason for running a half marathon, whether it be to raise money for a special cause, to help with general mental and physical well-being or to reach a fitness goal or personal best.
We're pulling together some inspirational stories from our readers and why they're running the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon on September 22.

Alex’s Running Story:
I am running for my sister who passed away in August 2018.
She was in a car accident on a Saturday morning and was air lifted from the scene.
She died a few days later in hospital but due to the nature of her injuries she was able to donate her organs and these have gave 4 people the chance of life.
Running has helped me to cope with the loss of my sister, it has given me a drive.
I am running to raise awareness of the vital Air Ambulance service which we have raised almost £90,000 for to date, in memory of my sister.
I am also running to raise awareness of organ donation and mostly I am running for my sister because she can't, because she wanted to run a half marathon, because I want to do her proud.
