Alex Lewington will notch his 100th Saracens appearance in Friday’s Gallagher Premiership clash at Gloucester.

The 31-year-old made more than 100 appearances for London Irish between 2013 and 2018, before making the move to north London.

Now the accomplished winger will hit treble figures for his second capital and Premiership club, as Sarries look to add to their 10-point lead at the top of the table.

“Reaching 100 games for this club is something I’m incredibly proud of,” said Lewington. “The best thing about it has been the brilliant players I’ve been lucky to play with along the way, and the amazing friendships I’ve made off the pitch.”

Lock Hugh Tizard and flanker Ben Earl start up front for Sarries, with Duncan Taylor making his first start of the season after injury issues.

England stars Mako Vunipola and Jamie George continue in the front row alongside in-form Italy tight-head prop Marco Riccioni, with captain Owen Farrell at fly-half and the vastly experienced Alex Goode at full-back.
