Alex Jones to present new BBC series Reunion Hotel to help bring family and friends back together

Alex Jones will be heading up a brand new television series called Reunion Hotel.

The Welsh presenter has been revealed as the host of the new show, which will feature emotional stories across six episodes.

From giving thanks to life-saving heroes, to romantic reunions and emotional homecomings, as well as an ex-pupil reunited with the teacher who changed his life, everyone’s welcome to check-in to the Reunion Hotel.

The hotel is located in north east Wales and each reunion is connected to the surrounding area.

The show will be based on the S4C show ‘Gwesty Aduniad’ which will expand its audience around the UK.

What is Reunion Hotel about?

Reunion Hotel is all about reuniting people and giving them a chance to say the things they never previously got to say.

Alex Jones will be welcoming the guests and putting them at ease ahead of the reunions.

She said: “To be able to play an integral part in the reunion of lost friendships, family members and past loves is very exciting.

“I’m so looking forward to checking into the hotel to help bring these heart-warming stories to life, and helping the guests reconnect with a piece of their lives they thought had been lost.”

What else has Alex Jones presented?

Alex Jones is perhaps best known for her presenting role on The One Show.

She has presented the BBC show since 2010, with co-hosts including Matt Baker , Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating.

Alex also appeared in the ninth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2011, and finished fifth overall in the competition.

She has since taken part in Let’s Dance for Comic Relief and Sport Relief shows.

When does Reunion Hotel air?

The six-part series has been commissioned by BBC Two and BBC Wales and will be shown on BBC Two in early 2023.
