Alex shares three children, including three-year-old Kit with husband Charlie Thomson. In August 2021, she gave birth to the couple's most recent child - a daughter named Annie. Alex's first-born, 'Teddy' was born in early 2017. The presenter sadly also suffered a miscarriage in the same year.

Responding to Alex's birthday post for Kit, her fans joined her in wishing him a "happy birthday". @charlottelmfaber even wrote: "Ha ha we have a little boy called Raffy and so everyone gave him giraffes as presents."
