Alex Jones drops Helen Mirren right in it during The One Show chat with Fast and Furious star

Alex Jones joked about how she once lent her coat to Hollywood legend Helen Mirren and never saw it again.

The presenter from Ammanford was interviewing Fast and Furious star Natalie Emmanuel on The One Show when she made the playful comment on Thursday evening.

Alex hinted that she once lent Helen her coat during a show, left it with her and has never seen it since.

The 2021 film is the third instalment Natalie has starred in, playing Ramsey, alongside her icon Helen, who plays Queenie. Fast and Furious 9 had been pushed back a year from 2020 due to coronavirus.

Speaking to Natalie about her fellow Fast and Furious cast, Alex said: "You were overwhelmed and in awe of somebody who has been a heroine of yours for a very long time - tell everyone who she is."

Natalie replied saying Helen Mirren, as Alex exclaimed she "couldn't believe" it when she found out she would star in the recent film.

"We're from the same town actually very close to each other," said Natalie. "I think [we're about] 10 minutes up the road, so I've always grown up hearing about Helen Mirren from the area...so it's kind of cool that we're in the same movie now. Even though we haven't physically worked together yet, I made a little trip down to set...just to hang out and see and met Helen."

Alex said: "And she's lovely isn't she?", to which Natalie agreed The Queen star is "really lovely" and "really sweet".

Then Alex makes a grimace - that is clearly in good humour - and said: "Although she did borrow my coat on a show *whispers* and I've never seen it. I left it - gone, gone!"

Laughter fills the studio and co-host Ronan Keating quickly moves the topic of conversation on to the fact that Natalie isn't able to drive despite appearing in the motor-saga.
