Alex Iwobi sets Everton fans a challenge over his new song

Alex Iwobi has set Everton fans a challenge over his new song.

The former Arsenal player scored his first goal for the Blues in the Carabao Cup fixture against Lincoln and the song some fans sang - "Oh Alex Iwobi" - originated from his time with the Gooners.

However, Everton supporters are trying to launch a new chant for the midfielder.

Speaking to Sky Sports' Rob Palmer, Iwobi said: "They have one they brought from Arsenal but they have a new one that they're trying to bring along.

"I haven't heard it as much yet, I've only heard little short clips that I've seen on social media but I wouldn't say it's an established song."

The new tune in question is "I Like to Move It" by dance act Reel 2 Real, featured in the hit film Madagascar.

Blues fans have replaced the main line "I like to move it, move it" with "Alex Iwobi-wobi"

But the midfielder is not convinced they have mastered the timing yet and has laid down a challenge to supporters.

Iwobi said: "It's alright if they sing it right but sometimes it's a bit forced.

"It's the thought that counts so I appreciate it."

Hopefully fans will get the chance to practice the lyrics when the Toffees take on Sheffield United on Saturday.
