Alex Iwobi makes bold assessment about Arsenal's striking duo ahead of Europa League final

Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has heaped praise on teammates Pierre-Emrick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, and claims that the duo have the best partnership that he has ever played with.

The duo have a combined total of 50 goals in all competitions for the Gunners this season, with Aubameyang winning the Premier League golden boot alongside Liverpool pair Sadio Mane and Mo Salah. All three players scoring 22 league goals during the 2018/19 season.

Lacazette and Aubameyang have played as a pair up front on occasions this season, but manager Unai Emery has often chosen one over the other in order to fit in with a formation that allows one central striker.

Both players did however play in a two up front for the Europa League semi-final victory over Valencia last month, and it may be an option that Emery turns to for the final against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Judging by his comments, Iwobi will be hoping that both players are given a starting berth for the match.

"In terms of the partnership they're the best I've seen, there are normally a lot of individual talents that are crazy to see, but as a partnership they're the best I've seen," he said.

"Not just in matches, but in training as well. When you have Auba and Laca we know we're not just going to get goals, we're going to get a lot of opportunities to get goals, their movement, their chemistry together is very good."

"Whether they start together we don't know, we don't know the team exactly, but they'll create chances."
