Alex Hales not included in Nottinghamshire squad with ban set to expire this week

Alex Hales will not make his Nottinghamshire return when they play Worcestershire in the Royal London One Day Cup tomorrow.

Hales is still serving a 21-day ban for an off the field incident. However, is it is understood that ban will expire before Notts play Durham at Grantham on Friday in another 50-over fixture.

The 30-year-old was yesterday told he will not play for England in the World Cup, with his management team responding to say the player was 'devastated' with his treatment.

Joe Clarke unsure of reception on return to Worcestershire as he targets another win 

Notts have named a 14-man squad for the trip to New Road.

Paul Coughlin returns after a finger injury kept him out of the early stages of the limited-overs season, while there is also a call-up for young all-rounder Liam Patterson-White.

Ben Duckett is absent after he was added to the England squads for the the One Day International against Ireland and the IT20 against Pakistan.

Ben Slater continues to be sidelined through injury, while James Pattinson is rested.

Notts squad: Jake Ball, Matthew Carter, Zak Chappell, Joe Clarke, Paul Coughlin, Luke Fletcher, Lyndon James, Jake Libby, Tom Moores, Steven Mullaney (c), Chris Nash, Samit Patel, Liam Patterson-White, Luke Wood.
