Alex Cooper's Unwell Network is facing accusations of fostering a toxic work environment, with her husband and co-CEO Matt Kaplan allegedly berating employees.
Company insiders reported to Bloomberg that Kaplan has a reputation for frequently yelling at staff and threatening to blacklist them, leading to significant employee turnover.
Several key executives, including the head of brand marketing, head of the network, and chief growth officer, have left Unwell Network in the past year.
Incidents include Kaplan allegedly screaming at workers on a YouTube show set, causing a crew member to cry, and a production manager threatening to quit during a live tour.
The network also recently experienced a public rift between Alex Cooper and podcast host Alix Earle, with Cooper accusing Earle of spreading “fake drama” after their partnership ended.
