Alex Caruso dealing with pelvic bone bruise, will be reevaluated in L.A.

The Los Angeles Lakers made it out of the exhibition season but they didn’t do so completely unscathed as a part of their projected guard rotation suffered an injury in Friday’s preseason finale, although the Lakers don’t expect it to be serious.

Lakers guard Alex Caruso suffered a bone bruise on his pelvis (ouch!) in last night’s game against the Warriors and was ruled out for the rest of the game. He is expected to get more evaluation upon the team’s return to Los Angeles, according to Lakers.com’s Mike Trudell.

However, if the guard depth is a concern the good news for the Lakers is that rookie Zach Norvell Jr. continued to impress in the preseason on Friday. Norvell scored a game-high 29 points against the Warriors last night to follow-up another strong performance against Golden State earlier in the week.

We should know more about Caruso’s status later today as the Lakers begin game preparation for Tuesday night’s season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.
