Alex Beresford has slammed Boris Johnson for his Downing Street flat makeover.
The Prime Minister spent a rumoured £58,000 doing up the four-bed residence he occupies with his fiancee Carrie Symonds, but there are questions on how the revamp was funded.
And Alex has asled how Johnson can justify spending so much money, jokingly asking if he has weekly flat parties where too much red wine was spilled.
The Good Morning Britain weatherman tweeted: "I want to know what our Prime Ministers are doing in that state funded flat to justify so much money being spent on renovating it over and over again?
"Weekly raves, too much spilt red wine?
"Meanwhile we have families still living in inhabitable social housing."
When the Prime Minister arrived in 2019, a spokeswoman said there would not be "any additional cost to the taxpayer" of Ms Symonds living there.
Number 10 has insisted that the £157,372-a-year Prime Minister paid for the revamp out of his own pocket, despite trying to set up a Trust to fund repairs.
The flat is rumoured to include gold wall coverings, £840-a-roll wallpaper, a £9,800 Baby Bear sofa and a £3,000 Lily Drum table.
There was a £30,000 cap on taxpayer cash contributing to the work, so the cash had to be found by the PM personally.
It's now being reported he borrowed or took that money from a Tory party donor, and No10 has refused to deny that a donor was involved.
Loans and donations of more than £7,500 must be declared to the Electoral Commission.
The scandal is now subject to a probe by the watchdog.
