Alex Beresford has liked a rude tweet about good Karma just hours after he replaced Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.
The weatherman took up a new role as the main host on the GMB this week, taking the spot previously held by Piers before he quit over comments he made about Meghan Markel and Prince Harry.
Shortly after the last show of the week Alex took to social media and liked a cheeky tweet posted by radio and TV host Maya Jama, according to the Mirror.
Maya's tweet, which was liked by Alex, read: "Good things come when you’re not a p***k."
The father-of-one recently won the respect of viewers after he condemned Piers Morgan for his relentless targeting of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Alex defended the Duchess, and told Piers - who had complained that he used to speak to Meghan Markle before she married Prince Harry - that she had the right to cut him off.
The spat led to Piers storming of the GMB set.
Alex also described the host's comments about Meghan as "diabolical".
Piers later returned to the set but it was later reported that broadcasting watchdog Ofcom received more than 41,000 complaints about Piers conduct. The drama continued with ITV announcing, later that evening, that Piers was no longer going to front the popular series with immediate effect.
ITV has yet to replace him.
In a statement shared after Piers' departure, Alex admitted he hadn't wanted his co-star to quit - he just wanted him to listen.
In a post on Twitter, he wrote: "There is so much that could be said. Piers' departure sincerely wasn't the conclusion I was hoping for.
"Over the last few years, Piers and I have had a lively, cheeky on-air relationship. We both wanted to be on the show Tuesday morning, and from our very public conversations on Twitter, we both knew how strongly our opinions differed on the treatment of Harry and Meghan pre and post the interview that has split the world.
"I hoped we could reach a place of understanding. It's sad that we weren't able to get there, but challenging his opinion was not an outrage. On this occasion, we have to agree to disagree.
"I didn't want him to quit, but I did want him to listen.
"Personally, Piers has always supported my growth. He's given me advice on several occasions and for that I am grateful. I wish him well!"
Ben Shepherd has been standing in for Piers Morgan temporarily along with Adil Ray.
After Alex's stint in the main chair on Friday he's become the bookies' favourite to take on the role.
Coral bookmakers confirmed odds were slashed on Alex becoming a permanent presenter and Piers' replacement, going from odds of 8-1 to 2-1.
Coral's John Hill said: "Alex Beresford stepped into the presenter role this morning on GMB and on the back of that his odds have been slashed to get the gig on a permanent basis.
"GMB are clearly taking their time to announce Piers Morgan's replacement and after he got his chance to shine today, Beresford must now be among the shortlist."
