Alex Beresford flooded with female support as he admits he's 'lonely' after marriage split

Good Morning Britain weatherman Alex Beresford has been met with kind words and messages of support after his split from wife Natalia Natkaniec.

The 39 year old admitted he'd felt "really lonely" after Natalia and ten year old son Cruz moved out of their family home in March.

That was two weeks before lockdown went into effect - after Natalia exhibited symptoms of COVID-19, he was kept from visiting Cruz as they had to self-isolate.

Natalia turned out to not have the deadly bug.

Now he's told that it was a "really lonely" time for him - and been met by huge support from his fanbase.

Speaking on the Get Britain Talking podcast earlier this week, Alex told: "I watched Boris Johnson's lockdown message sitting on my sofa feeling really lonely.

"And I couldn't see Cruz for two weeks. I've realised how strong I am, but I am only strong because of the people I have behind me."

He shared a tweet recently as he woke up, penning: "Good morning world."

The comments section lit up as fans poured their hearts out in support of Alex.

"Have a great day!" one wrote, "Moved by your recent podcast. I'm a single parent and the struggle with loneliness is a battle! Stay safe and have a great day!"

"Good morning, lovely man Alex," another offered, "Peace & love & understanding. Take good care of yourself young man."

A third chimed in: "Good morning Alex, continue to shine like the sun and have a great day.

A fourth gushed, alongside a string of heart eyes emojis : "Good morning to the most handsome man on telly!"

A fifth thanked him for all his "openness."

Alex added to the podcast that he and Natalia had actually decided to go their separate ways last year.

He continued: "As we kind of moved into the summer [of 2019], myself and Natalia decided we were going to part ways, which - you know me - I'm not a quitter, and I hate quitting things.

"We tried to work through things, but at some point you realise that the best thing to do for everybody is to walk away."

Alex went on: "We were in the same house up until the beginning of this year, knowing that we were parting ways, it takes a while to figure things out. One thing I don't want to do is rush things."

Alex wants to do whatever is best for Cruz following his marriage split.
