Alex Beresford, 40, jokes he 'doesn't look old enough' as he gets Covid jab

Alex Beresford has joked that he doesn't look old enough as he receives a Covid-19 jab.

The Good Morning Britain star, 40, has taken to social media to share that he has had his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

On Instagram, Alex shared an image of his sleeved rolled up as a medic administered the jab.

Alex captioned the image: "I know I don’t look old enough[laughing emoji] but I completed it mate! #vaccinated ".

The post drew praise from Alex's followers on social media.

ITV regular Dr. Amir Khan praised Alex for sharing his good news, replying to the post: "Yesss!! Well done!!"

Another fan commented: "I had mine on Saturday and don’t look old enough either [laughing emoji]".

One opined of Alex: "Definitely don’t look old enough lol"

A different follower of the weather presenter posted: "Should've taken your shirt off to get more attention and raise awareness on the vaccination program [sweating emoji]".

Finally, one Instagram user concluded: "Even higher now in my estimation [raised hands emoji]".

The weather presenter hit the headlines recently following an on-air clash with former colleague Piers Morgan over the latter's views on Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.

The disagreement, which saw Alex criticise Piers for his personal issues with Meghan effecting his criticism of her, resulted in Piers walking off-set.

The show proved to be Piers' final episode of Good Morning Britain as he subsequently resigned from the ITV show.

His rants the previous day about the Duchess - which saw her question her claims of previously feeling suicidal - prompted a record number of complaints to broadcasting regulator Ofcom - 57,000 for a single programme.

Piers claimed following his exit that his departure from the programme was “amicable”, adding: "I had a good chat with ITV and we agreed to disagree.

"I'm just going to take it easy and see how we go."

Alex received praise upon his return to GMB after the furore and also recently called out Nigel Farage on Twitter (ITV)

He also noted: "I think it’s fair to say, although the woke crowd will think that they’ve cancelled me, I think they will be rather disappointed when I re-emerge," he said. "I would call it a temporary hibernation."

Meanwhile, Alex received much admiration as he made his return to the show ten days after he took time off following his on-air clash with Morgan.

Alex also received praise after he criticised political figure Nigel Farage for his linking of violence at recent protests in Bristol to the Black Lives Matter.
