Alesha MacPhail's mum says she'll 'stand there and laugh' if killer's appeal 'blows up in his face' uncle has called for killer Aaron Campbell to be transferred to an adult jail to protect fellow inmates in the young offender’s institution where he is being kept.
Campbell, 16, is expected to remain in Polmont YOI, near Falkirk, for four years.
But Alesha MacPhail's uncle thanks 25,000 supporters who signed his appeal for tougher sentencing said the monster who raped and murdered six-year-old Alesha should not be allowed near other youngsters.
He added: “He is around people who are children – people of 14 and 15 years old. What has he been saying to them? Has he been trying to influence them?”
Calum is campaigning for the law to be changed so serious offenders aged 16 and over receive adult sentences. As it stands, 16-18-years-olds are classed as children in the eyes of the law, with more lenient sentences.
A petition launched by Calum calling for such a change has attracted almost 20,000 signatures in just two weeks.

Public support for the campaign peaked as twisted Campbell lodged an appeal against his 27-year minimum term last week.
Calum said: “Now he is appealing, it puts it into perspective even further. He’s already not been given a full sentence and now he is appealing to have a lesser sentence.
"If he had got the full maximum adult sentence, he would have been aged 51 before being eligible for parole. At the minute, he will be 43 – that’s not even half the life of an average human nowadays.
“People say it’s highly unlikely he will get parole and get released. It’s highly unlikely for me to win the lottery but it’s not impossible.
“You don’t know what will happen in the future and what the thought processes will be for whoever does hear his parole case.”

Calum met Argyll and Bute MSP Michael Russell on Friday to seek support for the petition in Holyrood and now plans to take his case to Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf.
Campbell murdered Alesha last July after abducting her from her grandparents’ flat on Bute.
He denied the killing but was found guilty in February.
