Britain’s Got Talent star Alesha Dixon has spoken of her desire to carve out a full-time career in Hollywood.
The 41-year-old plans to return to the US to pursue new TV roles when restrictions ease, following a successful stint on America’s Got Talent.
She says: “It was a dream of mine to work on American television. Everybody gets to a point where they get itchy feet, they want to try something new and be challenged.
"I like to step into an arena that makes me feel afraid – it’s good for me. By stepping out of my comfort zone, great things come."

She added: "I was really scared in the most amazing way. I can’t wait for lockdown to be over so I can go back.”
Alesha rose to fame as part of girl group Mis-Teeq then became a successful solo artist.

Her career hit new heights when she won Strictly Come Dancing before becoming a judge on the show, and then on BGT.
Speaking before her stint on America’s Got Talent with Simon Cowell, she told a US mag how she hoped the show marked “the beginning of something.”

The mum-of-two said: “The UK is quite small. Once you’ve worked on Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly, the pool of shows is quite limited.
“When I look at America, it seems like there’s more.”
