Alesha Dixon is making a pop comeback to inspire her daughters’ to be ‘fearless’ and follow their dreams.
The 41-year-old mum-of-two has just released brand new single War - her first music in 5-years.
The Britain’s Got Talent beauty, who is mum to Azura, 6, and Anaya, 1, exclusively told me: “My daughters have been a huge inspiration when it comes to me going back into the studio and releasing new music.
“I can’t tell my kids to go for their dreams if I’m sitting back in fear and not going for my own.
“I want to lead by example so I need to fight for what I love.

“My children motivate me to keep going and be the best person I can be.
“They obviously see me on TV working on various shows but I want them to see me doing my main passion which has always been music and performing.
“I want them to see that’s where mummy started.
“Music is what gave me all the other amazing opportunities I’ve had in my life and I would hate for them to not see me on stage.”
Alesha found fame in girl-group Mis-Teeq back in 2001 when she was just 21.

The Scandalous singers had seven top 10 singles and two top 10 albums before splitting.
Alesha went on to have solo success releasing four studio albums.
But despite her huge hit The Boy Does Nothing she is now better known for successful stints on TV shows Strictly Come Dancing, The Greatest Dancer and of course BGT.
Admitting she was scared to relaunch her pop career, Alesha added: “I wasn’t planning to release anything until next year to be honest.
“I’ve been working on new music for a couple of years. I haven’t finished it yet but you can put things off and worry and overthink but actually life is too short.
“You have to be present and fearless and listen to your gut instinct.
“Once I got over my fears and the self-doubt of putting it out I started to feel really good about it and excited for the next chapter.”

Empowering anthem War is about peoples’ everyday mental health battles, which Alesha calls ‘emotional warfare’.
She added: “It just felt like the right time to put something out.
“I listened to the lyrics and it felt very relevant.
“I just wanted to put out a little taster track to show people what I’ve been working on. No big promo or pressure.
“I will hopefully be in the studio for the rest of the year and then have a finished body of work to put out early next year.
“I don’t want to put pressure on myself to say I’m releasing an album.
“I just can’t wait to be back on stage and performing again.”
War is out now.
