Alesha Dixon announced as Mel B's replacement on America's Got Talent

Alesha Dixon has been announced as Mel B's replacement on America's Got Talent in 2020.

The Britain's Got Talent judge, 40, will be heading stateside for the second season of Champions.

She will be joining Simon Cowell, Howie Mandell and Terry Crews on the show.

Meanwhile Heidi Klum will be returning after a brief break from the show.

Taking to Twitter today, Alesha shared a picture of herself in an ankle-length yellow coat adorned in black stripes.

In front of her, it announced that she was the new America's Got Talent The Champions judge.

She tweeted: "News Alert!!! SUPER EXCITED to be joining @AGT #AGTChampions."

Last year's AGT champion Shin Lim shared a magic trick of him predicting this year's line-up with a pack of cards.

Sharing the video online, Alesha wrote: "What a cool reveal from last year's @agt Champion @ShinLimMagic Love this!!! #AGTChampions."

Since 2012, Alesha has appeared on Britain's Got Talent alongside Simon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams .

She had previously been judging on Strictly Come Dancing from 2009, after replacing Arlene Phillips on the panel, but switched over to the ITV show after three years.
