Civil war in the Republican Party sparked hilarity on the internet when Senator Bob Corker took to Donald Trump's beloved platform, Twitter, to continue his war of words with the President.
Their latest exchange was triggered by these tweets from Mr Trump:
Senator Corker, who campaigned with Mr Trump during last year's election and is not seeking re-election himself next year, hit back with a reprise of a jibe he first used two weeks ago.
On that occasion, when a spat between them blew up over the Iran nuclear deal, Corker dismissed the White House as an "adult day care centre" and suggested it was understaffed.
With the feud between them back at full strength, Senator Corker propelled the insult to a hashtag.
It was then on for young and old as social media users jumped on the senator's hashtag.
This is not the first time Mr Trump has been accused of childish behaviour and some of the cartoons being shared are already old, but they have attained a new lease of life thanks to the outgoing Republican's remarks.
