Alejandro Garnacho's phone lock screen shows his Manchester United dream for FA Cup final

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho inadvertently revealed his dream to win the FA Cup last month when the Reds travelled to West Ham.

The trip to East London was the first time Garnacho had been included in a matchday squad since suffering an injury at home to Southampton. As the Argentine arrived at the London Stadium, he was greeted by the mascots for the game.

As Garnacho reached to high five a child with his left hand, he exposed the lock screen on his phone in his right hand. The image showed a picture of the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium adorned in red ribbons.

While he was an unused substitute in that defeat by West Ham on his return to the matchday squad, he may have a much bigger role to play this afternoon after delivering some exciting cameos towards the end of the league season.

United confirmed earlier this week that Anthony Martial would be missing from the matchday squad to face Manchester City. The Frenchman suffered a serious hamstring injury which could keep him out of action through pre-season.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag confirmed Antony is also likely to miss the final. Last Sunday, the United boss was hopeful that the Brazil international might have been ready to return but in his pre-match press conference, the manager was more pessimistic.

He explained: "Unlikely. Antony still [has] a chance but a really small chance. He didn’t make progress, so he still has a chance but unlikely he is available."

A bench role for Garnacho still feels likely at Wembley, with Bruno Fernandes lining up on the right side of a front three, and Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford also starting in attack.
