Aled Jones says his Twitter 'was hacked' after rude picture posted as a Fleet

Aled Jones has apologised to fans after a rude picture appeared on his Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

Fans of the singer were shocked when a picture of a bulge in black Calvin Klein boxers was posted on a Fleet on his account, but he has since insisted it wasn't his doing.

The close-up image of the man's crotch was published as a temporary tweet that disappears after 24 hours - it cannot be shared, replied to publicly or embedded on to other pages.

The Songs of Praise host, 50, posted several tweets on Sunday night in a bid to deny any part in uploading the crude image after he quickly worked to take the snap down.

At first, the Welshman wrote: "I’ve been hacked sorry everyone! Jeez xxx"

But after fans were quick to throw doubt over his comments, he tweeted again to try to clarify the situation.

"So sorry I dont know what fleets is - Never heard of it!," he wrote.

However, many fans again weren't buying his comments and told him to "own it".

A selection of fans decided to make a play on words for his famous Walking In The Air song from the film The Snowman.

Others quote tweeted the star's comments to mock his attempted clarification.

Shortly after, Aled again Tweeted his followers to let them know he had rectified the situation.

He wrote: "All back to normal - passwords changed - that was an interesting 20 mins - especially when I’m watching John Wick with the mother in law!!!"

But still many of the Twitter public weren't prepared to let it slide and continued to make jokes and post sarcastic memes in the comments section of his posts.

One wrote: "Don't forget to enable 2 Factor Auth and use a password manager!"

"How desperate can you get to avoid the mother-in-law?," joked another.

A third quipped: "The old “John Wick” Cockney rhyming slang there…."

With his name trending on the social media site, some fans were flocking to the platform trying to find out what they had missed.

One user joked: "30 years ago, if I was asked 'what will you be doing in 30 years time?', I doubt I would have answered 'searching for a picture of Aled Jones' c**k on a thing called Twitter on a miniature computer that can fit in your pocket"

And another was in similar mindset as they wrote: "Gary Barlow singing ‘Three Lions’ and Aled Jones flashing his diddle on Fleets, is it?

"I think that’s enough Twitter for tonight. Maybe forever."
