Aled Jones says he was hacked after rude picture of a 'man bulge in boxer shorts' posted on Twitter

Songs of Praise star Aled Jones had to apologise last night after a rude photo appeared on his Twitter profile.

The Bangor -born presenter took to social media to claim his account had been hacked after the picture of a 'man bulge' in a pair of boxer shorts was posted to his 62.2K followers.

The image appeared as a 'Fleet', which is a temporary tweet which automatically disappears after 24 hours and cannot be retweeted, replied to publicly, or embedded onto other pages.

The 50-year-old TV and radio regular, who first rose to fame as a choir boy in 1985 with his hit song Walking In The Air, hastily responded to the incident by saying, "I've been hacked sorry everyone! Jeez xxx."

Shortly afterwards, he added, "All back to normal – passwords changed – that was an interesting 20 mins – especially when I’m watching John Wick with the mother in law!!!"

Aled, who received an MBE in 2013 for his services to music and broadcasting, also explained that he'd never heard of Fleets and didn't even know what they are.

The hundreds of responses to his predicament where quick to see the funny side, however.

"Is Schlongs of Praise back on?" tweeted one, while another replied, "Watching 'John Wick' - is that rhyming slang for something, Aled?"

"That was most unexpected - thanks for the surprise," added a third.
