The Georgia Bulldogs are nine days away from kicking off the 2019 football season in Nashville! We’re in single digits! Football is so close we can smell it and there’s two days until college football returns for the renewal of the Florida-Miami rivalry. Let’s remember number nine for the Georgia Bulldogs: Alec Ogletree.
Alec Ogletree currently plays for the New York Giants. The play-making middle linebacker was traded by the Los Angles Rams to the New York Giants in 2018. Ogletree is expected to play in the week one opener versus the Dallas Cowboys after sustaining a calf injury in the preseason against the New York Jets. Ogletree made some impact plays for the Giants last season.
The former Bulldog recorded 93 tackles, five interceptions and scored two touchdowns last season. My favorite memory of Ogletree has to be his blocked kick return for a touchdown in the 2012 SEC Championship versus Alabama:
