Aldo Kane: Extreme adventurer heading for Edinburgh to share jaw-dropping escapades

A world record breaker and extreme TV adventurer is taking to the stage in Edinburgh this evening to share his 'lessons from the edge' with the capital.

Over the past seven years the former Royal Marines Sniper Aldo Kane has become a well-known face on screen, working on over 45 TV and film productions and featuring on BBC, Discovery, Nat-Geo, Channel 4, PBS, ITV, Channel 5 and History Channel shows and series.

His adventures include being held at gunpoint, charged down by a black Rhino, abseiling into an active volcano, rowing across the Atlantic and diving on Captain Kidd’s pirate ship - at that's just a snippet (suddenly our lives feel very boring).

He has also appeared with Hollywood A-Listers, including Tom Hardy, Adrien Brody and Henry Cavill, in some of the most extreme environments on earth.

These adventures and many others feature in his unflinching new book, Lessons from the Edge. Tonight, alongside sharing his wildest escapades, Aldo will be talking honestly and openly about his personal battles, how he overcame setbacks and rejection, rediscovered his identity, and harnessed his emotions to build his life and career.

To mark the launch of Lessons from the Edge Aldo is embarking on a UK tour, joining broadcaster and journalist Gordon Smart in conversation and answering questions from the audience - and there's still time to book in for tonight.

Aldo will be in Edinburgh TONIGHT on Friday October 1 at the Assembly Rooms with tickets on sale here.
