Aldi will sell a larger version of its famous hanging egg chair - and here is the date it will launch

Aldi has confirmed it will launch a larger version of its sell-out hanging egg chair - and this one will be big enough for two people to enjoy.

The egg chairs have been a sell out hit with shoppers, and fans of the swinging design will need to mark the date in their diaries if they want to secure the latest version of Aldi's swish seat.

The budget-friendly egg shaped chair has been boosted in size and this time will be large enough to accommodate two people at once.

Reflecting this the price will be a bit bigger too, at at £249.99 compared to £149.99 for the smaller version.

The stylish seats were last on sale in the Spring, but sold out in record time.

Shoppers will be able to snap up the new version online from Sunday 6th July - so if you're interested you'll need to be up early and online ready to shop.

The supermarket is well known for its SpecialBuys, which are often garden furniture or bigger items, but always have a stylish design at a friendly price point.

The new chair will feature a larger seat, with a rattan design, grey cushions and a steel frame, much like the original. Shoppers will also get a three-year warranty too.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, the SpecialBuy seat will only be available on the Aldi website so you won't be able to find it in stores.

If you can't wait until July to enjoy a quick swing in the garden, there are other stores selling similar egg chairs, including single chairs such as this one from Wowcher for £249 or this Argos version for £250.

If you're looking for a double egg chair like the forthcoming Aldi one, you could splash out on this one from BRIQ which is on sale right now at £419 (usually £549) or this version from Wilko for £552.
