Aldi wants to open new supermarket in Dunblane

Aldi has announced it is on the lookout to open a new store in Dunblane.

The retail giant has set it's sights on the town for a new outlet - as part of plans to open 20 new supermarkets across Scotland.

Aldi is now looking at potential locations which should be 1.5 acres and able to accommodate a 20,000 sq ft store with 100 parking spaces.

They say the new Dunblane store would ideally be on a main road with good visibility and access.

The retailer is scoping out freehold town-centre or edge-of-centre sites suitable for development.

Currently Dunblane has a Tesco supermarket and an M&S Food store. The community is also served by a host of independent retailers.
