Aldi wants to build new stores in Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and Yate

Budget supermarket Aldi has announced the locations it wants to build new stores in.

The supermarket plans to open a new store in the UK every week on average for the next two years - investing £1bn.

Aldi reported an 11 per cent sales rise for last year and, despite a sharp fall in profits, put most of this sales growth down to new store openings.

Bristol, Yate and Weston-super-Mare have made it on to the list even though some areas already have a store.

The company says the main reason Brits give for not shopping at the supermarket chain, is that they simply do not have a store nearby - something it hopes to remedy.
