Aldi unveil Christmas food range for 2019 - and it contains a lot of booze

With Halloween done and dusted, we can turn our attention to planning for the festive season. Especially all the lovely food we will be eating...

British supermarket Aldi have become the latest retailer to reveal its Christmas food range - and there's plenty of boozy treats included.

Perfect for festive gatherings, the alcohol-infused collection is set to launch in Aldi supermarkets later this month.

Two new boozy gammon joints are among the treats, including one that's flavoured with maple and bourbon (£8.99) and the other containing cranberry and orange gin (£9.99).

Sadly, the delicious meat treats won't be available to buy until Thursday December 12th - but there are plenty of other tasty joints in store.

For sweet-toothed shoppers, the supermarket is set to bring out the perfect after-dinner treat: Prosecco panettone.

It costs a reasonable £6.49 and will hit supermarket shelves from Thursday November 14.

You can also look forward to satisfying sweet cravings with Aldi's Sloe gin mince tarts, which cost £2.49 for a pack of six.

If you need some sophisticated savoury treats for your festive spread, the supermarket is also launching Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese made with cranberry and sloe gin - and we can't wait.

The launch date of the mince pie tarts and boozy cheese hasn't been revealed yet - but you can pop into your nearest Aldi store to check if they're available.
