Aldi have launched the At-Home Bar’ drinks pack following the supermarket’s nationwide search for the ‘Best At-Home Bar’ last year - which saw an incredible 11,000 entries.
Known for their award-winning and amazing value beers, wines and spirits range, Aldi went on the hunt for stylish pub gardens and swanky indoor gin bars.
To help show shoppers how they can make their own pubs and bars stand out, some of the self-made landlords have shared their expert tips and tricks.
Tommy and Lyndsay Castleman from Leicester, won the coveted cash prize for the most inventive at-home bar. The Duke of Wellington pub scooped top prize for its cosy and traditional home vibe – an ideal hub for unwinding and watching the footy. The couple shared their tips on what it takes to create an at-home bar; “The best at-home bars are all about personality! We wanted to dedicate this bar to a recently passed family member, so we filled it with memoirs including a self-portrait to help create a lovely space.”
The couple go on to state; “It’s important when hosting to have a selection of different spirits, wines and beers, so you can cater to all tastebuds. We always make sure our bar is fully stocked with glassware too, from wine glasses to tumblers for a decent G&T!”
