Aldi shoppers were excited to find out that the store will be selling a hanging egg chair small enough to fit a furry friend.
It doesn’t matter if they scratch the furniture, bite, or wake you up at half four in the morning, cats and dogs deserve all the unnecessary gifts and it looks like Aldi is providing the goods.
Pet parents were quick as a cat to comment on an Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK post on Facebook announcing that Aldi will be stocking a tiny egg chair for a cat.
Yes you read that correctly. They do exist.
The cat chair is made from wicker, has a removal cushion for comfort and supported by a metal frame, so your cool cat can swing away.
Under a photo of a tiny hanging wicker egg chair that a fluffy cat is sitting in, hundreds of people rushed to tag their friends and questioning if their pets would love it as much as they did.
One person commented: “Albus would look so cute in one of these. he'd need a cushion or two for extra comfort“
Another said: “Need to get Dusty this wee bed!”
Tagging a friend, a eagle-eyed shopper said: “A matching chair for Dave!”
However, some who clearly have experience of cats mentioned the flaw when it comes to buying anything for them.
“No cat ever would sit in that willingly”, one pointed out.
Another cat owner reflected: “Bought every contraption available for cats...they still preferred the carrier it came in lol.”
And of course what if you have more than one? As one person pointed out: “Trouble is when you have 4 cats who gets the chair? No way would i buy them one each lol.”
There is only one way to know if your moggy would use it. And if not, at least they’d appreciate the box it came in.
