Aldi is releasing a line of Christmas treats next month in line with a potential end of lockdown restrictions.
The budget supermarket chain says that a “merry mix” of festive products will be hitting supermarket shelves from June 21 - the date scheduled for all Covid restrictions to end south of the border.
And while there is yet no such date announced for Scotland, the products will also be hitting Scots supermarkets in time for the country’s scheduled downgrade to level zero lockdown from the end of next month.
The Scottish Government says that level zero is as close to normality as possible amid the global health crisis.

The so-called Junemas range will feature seasonal twists on festive favourites - such as Giant Pigs in Blanket Kebabs, Turkey Burgers and Frankfurter sausages wrapped in bacon and mustard.
Aldi made the decision to release the line following a social media poll, where supermarket bosses asked if they would be celebrating Christmas in the summer this year.
It comes after many families were unable to gather together last year due to coronavirus restrictions in place over the winter.
Almost half of the people responding to the poll (47%) said they would bring in the festive cheer on June 25.
Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi, said: “As we gear up to celebrate Junemas, we want to make sure our customers have everything they need to make this day truly special.

“So we are delighted to have put the decision into our customers’ hands asking them to cast their vote on their Aldi festive favourites, which they can enjoy alongside some new exciting treats when they reunite with friends and family next month.”
