Aldi to begin selling face masks in Irish stores next week

Aldi are to begin selling face masks for a bargain price from next Thursday, May 28.

The coverings are sure to be in high demand with the Government advising people to wear them on public transport and in enclosed spaces as lockdown restrictions ease.

The masks will be available in packs of 10 for €7.99.

The German retail giant recently raised over €20,000 for charity through the sale of their Irish Nurses Thank You bouquets.

The company will now be donating 100,000 face masks to Our Hospital Heroes and Age Action Ireland.

Aldi said: "Our 'Irish Nurses Thank You' bouquets raised over €20,000 for Our Hospital Heroes charity.

"We donated all proceeds to Our Hospital Heroes charity, who together with Age Action will receive a combined donation of 100,000 face masks.

"Face masks will also be available to buy in store on May 28th for €7.99, 10pk."
