Aldi has joined Asda and Tesco in making face masks available to all its in-store staff to further help keep them - and us - safe.
This move comes on top of measures already in force including gloves and clear screens installed at more than 7,000 checkouts.
Staff can also access the Government’s Covid-19 testing programme for critical workers.
Last week, Asda announced it would also be offering masks to staff who wanted one, while shoppers will also see staff at Tesco and Sainsbury's with mask on.
But so far there is little official guidance on whether shoppers should be wearing them or not.

Public Health England (PHE) recommends masks for NHS staff and social care workers but does not suggest other people wear them outside.
The Scottish Government, by contrast, yesterday advised the use of face coverings when social distancing is hard to maintain - for example in a supermarket.
Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: "We are recommending that you do wear a cloth face covering if you are in an enclosed space with others where social distancing is difficult, for example public transport or in a shop."
Sturgeon did not make their use mandatory, conceding evidence over their use is "still limited", but said there are benefits in wearing coverings to reduce transmission from individuals who are not yet exhibiting symptoms.
